Reducing Plastic in your home

There is a ton of evidence that plastic in our home and environment is something  we should all be concerned about.

The truth is only about 9% of all plastic ever makes it to get recycled. The impact of that much plastic floating around  in our oceans and in the environment is pretty alarming.  Not to mention, one study found that roughly 93% of the population has BPA in their bodies that which can cause a slew of health problems.

Thankfully, we can each start reducing the amount of plastic we use  in our own homes and we can tell all our friends about it.  Individually making changes in and around our own homes we can slowly begin making a bigger impact on the effects of plastic.

Below are some of my favorite earth friendly products. Reusable glass and silicone can easily be swapped out for their plastic counterparts.  It’s a win, win for everyone,  our environment, the animals and even us humans.
