Chocolate Covered Rice Crispy Treats

Life will never be the same after you’ve tried this healthier version of the infamous Rice Crispy Treats covered in chocolate and sprinkled with flaky sea salt!

Made super cute just in time for Valentines Day, of course you can just make it a square and eat this anytime of the year, which I suggest you do!!

Chocolate Covered Rice Crispy treats

Equipment

  • 8x8 pyrex pan

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sprouted rice cereal
  • cup cashew butter
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla
  • ½ cup raw honey
  • Pinch of Redmond Real salt
  • ½ cup of Enjoy life Dark Chocolate Chips
  • Maldon sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Combine cashew butter, vanilla, honey and salt. Mix with rice cereal in a large bowl till well combined.
  • Place into a parchment lined 8x8 pyrex pan and place in the freezer to harden up for about an hour.
  • Melt your chocolate in a glass bowl over a simmering pot till melted. Cut out your krispies into hearts or squares and dip half of each piece into the chocolate, letting the excess drip off or use a knife to help spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle on the flaky salt (do not skip this part) the flaky salt is what makes these A-Mazing!
  • Let them set on a piece of parchment, and serve.

Notes

Don't leave off the flaky sea salt....its what makes these special!
